The Home Instead program, with which we are a major partner here in Marin County, has identified seniors who don't really have anyone in their lives who will be giving them gifts during the upcoming holidays. Barring that, check with the local churches or even the senior center and see who might fit that profile and be needing some extra help. We see people that need food every day in conditions that are truly tragic. Eastern TN is one of the most economically challenged areas around, and I would love to organize, gather sponsors/providers for these services and get volunteers to make this happen! We are blessed to have what we have in our lives, but no one knows how close they live to the edge until they are there. All of the surrounding counties to us have a great demand for this and I would love to know how to make this happen for this area, then beyond. Thanks for the article in Woman's World.
